The three levels of care

Dr Helen follows a broad treatment paradigm for the three levels of care consisting of:

Level 1

We work to release the spine from its dominant holding pattern, allowing and aiding cerebrospinal fluid flow, which is so often reduced during stressful periods in life. We also focus on reducing muscle pain and tenderness and improving flexibility.

Level 2

We begin to correct secondary body patterns and further improve flexibility. We also correct any obvious nutritional deficits that begin to show up at this stage and continue to restore and normalise muscle and joint mobility.

Level 3

Continue to promote the body's natural intrinsic healing ability to aid the body in remaining in its optimum response pattern. This involves aiding and promoting cerebral spinal fluid flow, removal of spinal joint interference as far as possible and promoting strong muscle and ligament function.

I am often asked

Here are some commonly asked questions about neck pain and chiropractic care.

How many sessions are needed to alleviate neck pain?

The number of sessions required varies based on the severity and underlying causes of the neck pain. Some individuals may experience relief after a few sessions, while others may require ongoing care to maintain results.

What types of neck pain can chiropractic care help with?

Chiropractic care can be beneficial for various types of neck pain, including pain caused by muscle tension, poor posture, misaligned vertebrae, and more. The approach may vary depending on the specific cause of the pain.

Is chiropractic care for neck pain painful?

Chiropractic adjustments are generally not painful, although some individuals may experience mild discomfort or soreness afterward. Chiropractors use gentle techniques to manipulate the spine and alleviate neck pain. It's important to communicate with your chiropractor during the session to ensure your comfort.

Can chiropractic care cure chronic neck pain?

Chiropractic care can provide significant relief from chronic neck pain and, in some cases, help manage and reduce it. However, whether it can completely cure chronic neck pain depends on the underlying causes and the individual's response to treatment. It's often used as part of a comprehensive pain management plan.

Is chiropractic care covered by insurance for neck pain?

Insurance coverage for chiropractic care varies among providers and plans. Some insurance plans may offer partial coverage for chiropractic treatments for neck pain, while others may not cover it at all. It's advisable to check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage and potential out-of-pocket expenses for chiropractic care.
